Blue Merle – Burning in the Sun. If Nickel Creek were backing Chris Martin and Boone was playing drums you would have the single from this band. These folks can play.
Rogue Wave – Out of the Shadow. Nice with an essence of the Postal Service. Local Bay Area dude too.
On the Speakers- Self titled EP. OTS is an awesome band. Buy this cd!
William Shatner - Has Been, this is a great record and truely demonstrates the wonderous genius and insight of Ben Folds who produced and co-wrote much of the album. Buy this cd!
Ray LaMontagne - What a cool voice remindes me a bit of Otis Redding.The guy has a nice story too. Buy this cd!

- 26 Miles, man can he play guitar or what? Sean is no slouch as a singer or songwriter either. Very solid effort. Buy this cd!
Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf, heavy, reminicent of the early Tubes stuff. No really I can hear it. Not the 80s stuff, the earlier bitchin' years.
Frou Frou - Details, killer stuff, great songs. Buy this cd!
Nickel Creek - This Side, mind blowingly different. Buy this cd!
doves - all things doves. Last Broadcast is a great album. Buy this cd!
Sheryl Crow - C'mon C'mon. Steve McQueen, say no more.
Norah Jones - Just a great easy listening jazz cd. Beautiful voice.

MOVIES or FILMS whatever floats your boat
Sometimes what makes one person cry makes another double over with laughter or sneer with contempt. So it is with movies, what you may consider a cheap plot devices may be what causes my body to be wracked with heartbreak. This is just a little list of films or movies that we like in no particular order. This list will grow and change as often as the mood strikes.

Curse of the Golden Flower - Beauty in the details.
Stranger Than Fiction - Will Farrell we love you.
The Big Sleep - Bogie & Bacall, nuff said.
Over the Hedge - music by Ben Folds.
Brick - Sam Spade goes back to high school. Excellent
V for Vendetta - Wachowski brothers hit one out of the park with words rather than special effects.
My Man Godfry - Our favorite non-Thin Man William Powell movie
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - A thriller with a dark funny bone.
New York Doll - A moving rockumentary

Best of Show - He is so much more then Nigel.
Apocalypse Now - From naked, bloody, crying man to president.
Hearts of Darkness - A companion piece or primer of sorts to Apocalypse Now.
Moonstruck - "I love him awful." Families fascinate.
Fargo - "He's fleeing the interview". Marge kicks ass.
Oh, brother where art thou? - They loved him and turned him into a horney toad.
This is Spinal Tap - "Saucy Jack he's a naughty one.
Terms of Endearment - One of those body wracking sob movies.
Young Frankenstein - "He was my boyfriend". Genius.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon - A true love story.
The Producers - One of our all time favorites.

BOOKS
Bill is an absolute Sci-Fi fanatic. He reads and reads and reads. Several books a week. He loves books about space, the future, space in the future whatever. He does however draw the line at fantasy stuff, swords and dragon stuff... unless they are in space.
